Named after the ancient Celtiberian city that defied the Roman Empire, Villa Numantia honors a legacy of strength, pride, and resilience. Like its namesake—where warriors chose death over surrender—this villa stands as a tribute to enduring spirit and timeless character.

Our villa is named after the legendary ancient city of Numantia, located near present-day Soria, Spain—a place forever etched in history for its extraordinary resistance.

For nearly two decades, from 153 BC to 133 BC, the brave Celtiberian people of Numantia defied the mighty Roman Empire. Despite being besieged by vastly superior forces, they stood firm, their courage a beacon of unwavering determination. Their story culminated in an astonishing act of defiance: rather than surrender and live enslaved, the Numantians chose to burn their city to the ground and perished in its flames, preserving their freedom and dignity to the very end. This profound act of self-sacrifice against overwhelming odds became a symbol of unyielding spirit and profound pride.
